Why are there so many attractive single girls in Eastern Europe?

I was just looking at all those Ukrainian and Russian dating sites and there seems to be so many attractive and nice single girls listed. Surely they can’t all be scams.

I am an American but live in eastern Europe and my husband is from the east as well has my father’s family.
Our son married a women from Hungary and all of my nieces and sister-in-laws still live in eastern Europe.
I think I know some of the mind set of the women over there.
Not in all cases but the women in eastern Europe are all sort of attractive so they don’t always know how nice looking they are, it’s just average over there. They are still be raised with many socialist values where women are given the same opportunities as men are. Some women are even better educated then the men are. They won’t settle for anyone that is less driven then they are.
Allot of the men over there are sort of slackers due to realizing how hard it is to get ahead in their economy ( some drink too much). The women sometimes look outside of their culture for a better lifestyle.
Nothing wrong with that although some are very smart and have selfish reasons for wanting to go out with western men.
My son found this out the hard way after supporting his wife for years while she lived in Europe while he foolishly worked in the states while she got all of her papers in order. It was too late to send her back home after she had the proper documents to stay in the states after she had a complete 180 personality change and was abusive to my son.
Not saying all are scams but be careful in any case.
