I was thinking about both war brides, who met and married their husbands just before they were shipped overseas, and mail order brides when North America was being settled by Europeans.
Those marriages lasted, even though they knew almost nothing about their spouse but were committed to making it work. What do you think? In both situations correspondence was either the glue, or the information that brought them together or kept them together until circumstances changed for the better.

I think that you can’t fall in love with someone but perhaps that you can love their personality. Or maybe you get on with them so well that you believe you are, its down to when you meet and if the relationship you have built corresponding them is okay in real life. Also I think it depends on the people.
