You have to be very careful here, because this sort of thing does happen a lot of times, and the person that is wanting to enter another country can literally con you so easily, you have to remember that they are good at pulling the wool over your eyes, and no doubt have supposedly fell in love with many other women before hoping that they could get into her country.

That’s the down side. What I suggest is that you ask or rather expect of him what you would of a guy you were dating from your own country. And that would be that the guy would take his time getting to know you and fall in love with you, that he would be working and was self responsible for his own self. OK a foreigner has to find work in a new country, but for heavens sake don’t marry this guy first/ Expect from him as I say what you would from a fellow countryman.

I presume that he is already in the USA, so at least he is not asking you to marry him whilst he is still in Russia, and then get him into your country that way. So just tell him that you are not willing to rush into anything particularly marriage etc, that you need to court him (yes an old fashioned expression but I am sure you know what I mean), help him get a work permit, he does not have to be married to get that, but for heavens sake just don;t marry the guy, till he has found his own way of staying in your country legally for himself.

I hope things work out well for you both, but Honey you need to keep your eyes wide open.
