Thai Women

Thai women dating – Things you simply need to know
When dating a Thai women it will be wise to learn as much as you can before you make your moves. This is especially so as this is a person of another culture which you are hitherto unaware of.
At the more basic level Thai women are like any other women in the world. They have expectations from their partners and they have needs. This really does not change anywhere. However where Thai culture steps in is in the way they express their needs and expectations and this is exactly what makes them so beautiful and special. Thai women are brought up to believing that there is place is in the family and this is why they are so feminine, graceful and humble. However what this does not mean is that they will forget all that they want in life and just exist to serve their almighty husband! (sadly this is exactly what most western men coming to Thailand believe).
Thai women like any other person after all have dreams, hopes and wishes. The majority of Thai women hope to settle down in a happy family away from trouble with a respectful, intelligent and kind provider, which they seek to find in you. Of course deviations and exceptions always are there but if you are looking to settle down and start a family then Thailand really is a good place to be!
Above all dont let your fears of dating Thai women cripple your dream of finding happiness. You only need to exercise enough brain and keep things in perspective and you should be just fine.
After marrying a thai women. What is the law on staying in thailand after u are married?
First of all, have a Thai bank account. It can be yours, or your Thai wife’s. For 3 months deposit money in this account. It doesn’t need to stay in there. You can take it out whenever and it can just be cash paid into the deposit point. Just make sure that per month you deposit at least 40,000 baht in there. Try to make it over 60k to be sure. Get your documents together (passports, marriage certificate copies, ID card copies, house book copies etc. all signed) and copies of your bank book showing money going in and out.
Then it’s off to Penang, Malaysia. Use a visa service like N.J. Books in Chulia Street. Pay your visa fee and their fee (20 RM or so) and they will submit your visa application. You will get a 3 month category ‘O’ visa. Now return to Thailand and continue to deposit money in the Thai account for 3 more months (and you can get a 2 month extension on this if you like). Then you can go back to Penang and apply for the 1 year multiple entry category ‘O’ visa. This is almost guaranteed with the current consular if all of your documents are in order. The visa actually gives you 15 months if you make the last border run just before the visa expires. So, 15 months without needing a new visa, but you still need to go to the border for a stamp every 3 months as was already mentioned.
This is just the first step really, if you’re looking at greater permanence here. But still, one step at a time.
